WHAT WE DO

Seamless Expertise Capability

George Rogers is the founder and the principal advisor of Rockface Capital Advisors. He has over 35 years of mining sector experience and built and led the mining businesses of both Deutsche Bank and Investec Bank in London.

George has lent to, and invested in, several billion dollars worth of mining projects. He has also run mining companies as Chairman, with mines both in operation and under development.

He has run the worldwide commodity trading business of Investec Bank, so has expertise in metal trading and commodity offtake.

Where additional technical skills are needed, George is able to draw on his large network of mining engineers and geologists, to work with him as a team. An expert team will be far more effective if financial, technical and quantum valuation expertise is provided seamlessly.

It is our view that not only should the team be seamless, but the days of theoretic mine valuations by individuals who have no real understanding of the underlying assumptions, and no real-world experience of mining, should end!
