Mining Finance Advisors
Rockface Capital’s principal area of expertise is the structuring and raising of project debt finance for natural resources projects.
This extends to co-financing structures, export and import credit, mezzanine debt and prepaid metal credits, plus commodity and interest rate hedging and royalty structures.
Expert Witnesses
We have the expertise and top-level credentials to support you as expert witnesses in any arbitration or litigation, which involves questions relating to:

Equity Investment and Introduction
We have an extensive network of investors and funds looking to invest in mining. Whilst we are not regulated brokers, we often make introductions between sponsor and investor in order to facilitate financing of a project. We only take on such mandates where we consider the project to be of sufficient quality.

George Rogers is the founder and the principal advisor of Rockface Capital .
He works closely with Dr Eike von der Linden, and has done for over 25 years. Eike brings unparalleled technical credibility with lenders and other risk partners.
Rockface Capital has all the required structuring, negotiating, modelling and technical skills in house, needed to implement financings successfully.
As expert witnesses we can provide expert opinion on either just the financing aspects of a case, or seamlessly cover technical and financial issues.

George Rogers

Founder of Rockface Capital, with a 30+ year track record as a mine project financier.

Led the mining/resource finance businesses at Morgan Grenfell, Deutsche Bank and Investec, a combined total of 18 years.

Prior to this, started his career in the mining team at NM Rothschild (8 years).

Ran Investec’s commodity trading and hedging business, and made investments across the resources sector.

Extensive knowledge of mining project finance lenders, risk participants and structures.
Dr Eike von der Linden

Technical Advisor and partner within Rockface Capital, with a 40 year track record in mining and mine finance.

One of Europe’s leading resources sector technical-financial advisors, providing independent guidance to a number of banks and companies.

By education he is a mining engineer (Technical University of Clausthal) and mineral economist (Technical University of Münich).Previously a visiting lecturer of Financial Engineering at Clausthal University.

Eike is valuable in getting lenders and risk participants comfortable with technical risks as his views are well respected by mining finance groups internationally.
